Teresa Trainor is a native Los Angeles transplant currently thriving in Riverside, Ca. with her husband and two kids. She has an athletic background in judo, wrestling, water polo, and pole vaulting and also loves the athletic aspect of CrossFit.
Teresa started judo at 7 and holds a rank of Sandan, or third degree black belt. She’s a 2001 National Champion in Judo and trained at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs as well as in Japan. She currently volunteers her time with the Riverside Youth Judo Club as an instructor and has raised funds to send kids to judo camp by doing a thousand burpees on New Year’s Day. Burpees also happen to be one of her favorite parts of CrossFit, along with the gymnastics components. She does not, however, love the assault bike.
Teresa loves being in competitive atmospheres. She has won two watermelon eating contests, and a brand new car on a game show. She also loves family, friends, food, and her pets- including a few dogs and some chickens named after her closest friends. Teresa hopes to have a hobby farm in the future, while pursuing adventures and traveling.
